Group Therapy
Group therapy allows clients to gain a sense of belongingness, cohesion, and trust, while developing the skills of meaningful disclosure, feedback, modeling, conflict resolution, and positive reinforcement. The social structure of the group is used to provide a testing platform for new social behavior practice and the testing of old or new realities.

In group therapy, each client is brought into the group with a sense of belongingness and usefulness to one another; where group goals trump individual concerns.
"Current research suggests that group therapy may fill the gap with helping clients change, where individual psychotherapy falls short."

Group members are often at different stages of the healing process and can instill hope in those members who are in the beginning stages. Group members are able to see that there are others who are going through what they are, and thus gain a sense of universality while their problems are normalized.
